Touch Base was a Design Academy Eindhoven exhibition curated by Ilse and the academy’s creative director Thomas Widdershoven, exploring the power of tactility. With the understanding that to touch is to feel physically and to sense emotionally, they brought together a series of graduate projects that expressed how our sense of touch is too often numbed, negated, vilified and sexualized by contemporary life.
